Simple Street Defence was created because the two founders became “disillusioned” by what was being taught or on offer
The Chief Instructor had also suffered bullying while he was at school so wanted to teach something REAL to help reduce it happening anyone that was taught

Yes, at SSD4kidz we do a "referall rewards scheme" each time a new student joins (pays insurance) then the student that brought them gets a prize or points towards one, these start with things like a £5 Amazon voucher and can end up with a free club hoodie, playstation voucher etc, for more information please ask
Yes, Everything that is taught is "pressure tested" this means it's tested to work at speed, this is done with simulated reality drills like "random attacks, Reality check, the circle" and many other ways for students to be tested, also students are taught to attack each other at real speed or properly grab etc

We say 6+ but have had some very good 5 year olds and one is still with the club now, we normally say let them do the 2 lessons to see how they get on and go from there, the maximum age to start is realistically 13, but any students who start before 14 are still able to continue with the club after
Absolutely, SSD4KIdz has a good mix of both
Everything taught is "Reasonable Force" that means a student is less likely to get in trouble using it,we don't do any punching or high kicks doing defence
we also do "Star of the month" and the games in the class are mostly created by Phil (Chief Instructor) which are fun, unique and beneficial to the students playing, games like SSD Bulldog, Gold Rush, Time bomb takedown to name a few are constantly requested by students again and again
Simple, please text, phone/ whats ap or facebook message Phil, you don't need to book in or give notice and even had one student phone up to ask if he could come 10 mins before class was scheduled to start
SSD4Kidz was first taught January 13th 2008, at the time of writing this it's almost our 14th birthday
You are taught elements from Ju-Jitsu, Aikido, Brazlian Ju-Jitsu and CQC type stuff (but watered down) students learn how to fall, throw, grapple, defence against many attacks incuding attacks on the floor, escapes from almost any hold, each grade adds to the previous content, again if you're not sure what all that was then you're more than welcome to come and see what we do first
