Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and we are mostly able to cope, carry on and even strive at times, with everyday stresses, dilemmas and problems encountered. However, some experiences or events can test our resilience and that’s ok. Life can be testing and the emotional responses are often felt as anxiety and/or fear, anger or sadness. These negative emotions are generally, a natural response to unfamiliar or demanding experiences but they are big emotions that we (1) do not want; (2) can struggle to overcome and (3) can impact upon daily life.
Making the decision to undertake counselling is a big step and if it is for you, then I can provide a safe and confidential space for us to work together. I work from a purpose built and designed counselling room, located in a peaceful setting in rural Pershore.
Counselling is both a time and a space for you. This will allow for exploration of how you are feeling; to reflect on what is happening and to consider how you want to feel.
My name is Tarn and I am a registered BACP counsellor, you can also find me on the BACP register and on the Counselling Directory. I am an Integrative Counsellor, which allows me to draw on a range of approaches, however I am primarily a Person-Centred counsellor. This approach places you in control of your sessions, as you are the expert of your own life. Through client-led talking therapy, exploration will lead to growth and change. Yes, you do have the ability to change.
I offer brief or short-term counselling and longer, open-ended for adults, older adults and young people.
